Registration for a spring session of Rockbridge Area Hospice’s Volunteer Training has begun.
Do you like to do any of the following? Talk on the phone, file, read stories, fill bird feeders, watch tv, plant flowers, mow grass, sing, play music, provide companionship? If you said yes to any of these, Rockbridge Area Hospice has volunteer opportunities for you.
Orientation is on March 17th, 10am-3pm with lunch included (Orientation only), and is required for all who wish to volunteer in any capacity with Hospice. Volunteers with this level of training help with administrative tasks, fundraising events, and other special projects.
Patient Care Volunteer Training is on March 21st, 24th and 28th, 10am-1pm, and is required for all who wish to work directly with hospice patients such as providing companionship, giving relief to caregivers, etc.
Training will be held at the Rockbridge Area Hospice office at 315 Myers Street in Lexington. Call 463-1848 or e-mail Tony Nix, Volunteer Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org for details or to register.
