The generosity of our supporters is vital to accomplishing the mission of Rockbridge Area Hospice. We need financial support on an annual basis to serve the needs of patients who cannot otherwise afford care. There are many ways to give your financial support to RAH. Remember that gifts may be made in cash or in assets such as appreciated stock (you avoid the capital gains tax) or real estate (you might provide RAH's future home). RAH is a not-for-profit organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The following list may help you decide what form your next donation will take.

GENERAL DONATIONS - Leave it up to RAH to determine how your gift may best be used to help fulfill the mission of Rockbridge Area Hospice. Click here for the GENERAL DONATIONS form.

DESIGNATED DONATIONS - Make a donation and designate its purpose, such as equipment, education, outreach, or supplies.

MEMORIALS - Make a donation in the name of someone who has died. Memorials and Honoraria are often given in connection with the Light Up A Life ceremonies in December - See Events.

PLANNED GIVING - Making a gift to RAH in your will or in a trust is an example of planned giving.

REACHING AHEAD FOR HOSPICE - 'Reaching Ahead' is not a form of giving, but a designation given to a group of exceptional annual contributors to the present and future mission of Rockbridge Area Hospice. HONORARIUM - Make a donation in the name of someone living, for example on their birthday or anniversary, to say thank you, or just as a way of saying you care.

BUY ITEMS PERIODICALLY SOLD - You help us when you buy Jennie's cards, RAH raffle tickets, Hospice tee shirts and totes, etc.

PARTICIPATE IN AN EVENT - Use the 'Events' link to learn about events such as the Hospice Hustle, Light up a Life, and the Golf Tournament.
