13th Annual Hospice Hustle - Sunday October 25

Registration has opened for runners and walkers who want to participate in the 13th Annual Hospice Hustle. Registration fees for this year’s Hustle are $10.00 students and $15.00 adults if registered before October 21. Participants may register at the event by 1:00 p.m. on October 25. Fees for registration at the event are $15.00 students and $20.00 adults. Advanced registration is encouraged. All participants will receive the 2009 commemorative Hustle T-shirt featuring the signature artwork of local artist Christopher Bowring.

“We urge Hustle participants to maximize their participation by obtaining sponsorship pledges from co-workers, friends and family. All funds raised by the Hospice Hustle will be used to cover the cost of RAH services not paid by insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, and the uninsured. That amount totals $100,000 each year, noted RAH Executive Director Judy Ramsey.

Walkers start at 1:30 p.m. and the 5k Hospice Hustle officially timed Runners World® race will start at 2:30 p.m.

Post-race activities for participants at Hopkins Green include free snacks and drinks, signature bluegrass music performed again this year by the Maury River Boys, House Mountain Inn raffle drawing and the 2009 Hustle Awards Ceremony. The general public is invited to join us for the post-race celebration. Hospice will be happy to accept donations from non-Hustle participants for food and drinks at the event. Commemorative 2009 Hustle T-shirts
will be available for sale to the general public.
